[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]IEEE Stamford University Student Branch organized a workshop titled- “Workshop on Microcontroller Basics and Application” at the Auditorium Complex of Stamford University Bangladesh on April 02, 2016. The objective of the program was to make students know how small projects can be done using Microcontroller and enhance student caliber to use the knowledge obtained in the course “Microprocessor and Interfacing” for working in real life project.
The instructor of the workshop was Aquib Ahmed, Assistant Engineer, North-West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL). The workshop was divided into three phases. At the first phase of the workshop the instructor gave a presentation on how to write a code for “ATMEGA 32 Microcontroller IC”. He also introduced participants with “Proteus Simulation Software”. In the second phase participants were provided with a design challenge. There they were given a simple task. They designed the algorithm of doing the task with microcontroller. In the last phase some small projects based on Microcontroller were shown. The workshop was continued for 4 hours. 60 students joined the Workshop. All the students spontaneously responded at the workshop.
Prof. Dr. Enamul Basher, Chairman, Department of EEE, Stamford University Bangladesh was present at the workshop. He inspired students with his valuable speech. Dr. Dilshad Mahjabeen, Counselor, IEEE Stamford University Student Branch and Associate Professor, Department of EEE, Stamford university Bangladesh and Farhana Parveen, Counselor, IEEE Stamford University Student Branch and Lecturer, Department of EEE, Stamford University Bangladesh were also present at the workshop.
Finally, the workshop came to the end after giving “Certificate of Participation” to all the participants.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
