[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The ways of providing services to citizens using information and communication technologies has increased in recent years which issued new risks and challenges all over the world. Therefore, the IEEE Student Branch of Dhaka University organized a Tech-Talk on “Mitigating Cross-Site Scripting Attacks with a Content Security Policy” on 17th April, 2016 in the Auditorium, AF Mujibur Rahman Ganith Bhaban, University of Dhaka.
“Cross-site scripting attacks are the most dangerous among the web security issues and these can be diminished using content security policies,” said the keynote speaker of the talk, Dr. Al Sakib Khan Pathan, a Senior Member of IEEE. Dr. Sakib served as a distinguished researcher in the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Southeast University in Bangladesh, and Islamic University in Madinah (KSA).
He discussed various possible security challenges and solutions of web security for the future generation.
Further during the talk, Dr. Md. Shariful Islam of IIT, Dhaka University, explored the different dimensions of computer security used in various organizations and Mr. Sajeeb Saha discussed about Cloud Computing and its preservation.
The program was enriched with the presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Treasurer, IEEE Bangladesh Section and Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman Ahad, Counselor of IEEE DU Student Branch, who encouraged IEEE student branches to arrange more seminars, tech-talks and workshops based on contemporary technologies. In accordance, IEEE Dhaka University Student Branch hopes to successfully host more programs like this is the future.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
