CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
IEEE BUET Student Branch and IEEE Bangladesh Section jointly organized the “Student Membership & Leadership Summit” on 20th – 21st August 2020, under the support of the IEEE Region 10 Student Activities Committee. The virtual event was attended by 364 participants from 39 countries of 10 different IEEE Regions, out of which 64.67% were IEEE members. 84.52% of the participants were a student and graduate student members while the rest were professional members.
There were a total of 13 different sessions, panel discussions & interactive group sessions with 28 different speakers from various fields of expertise. All the sessions were targeted for the development of both undergraduate & graduate students as well as student branches – focusing on individuals and collective development altogether. A six-part online quiz “How much do you know IEEE?” were conducted to keep the event engaging and informative. The quiz questions covered IEEE regions, sections, student branches, members
’ benefits, awards, brand guidelines and many more.
