IEEE Bangladesh Section Senior Member Elevation Program is one of the most recent new initiatives of IEEE Bangladesh Section. The purpose of this event was to add value to the lives of the senior members of the section and provide endorsement for the applicants of the senior membership.
IEEE Bangladesh Section has been working as a platform for enhancing technological activities in Bangladesh and in continuation of that, for the very first time in the history, IEEE Bangladesh Section hosted IEEE Asia-pacific region (IEEE Region 10) flagship conference, IEEE Region 10 Symposium (TENSYMP) 2020. The Symposium was held at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, Bangladesh from 05th to 07th Dune 2020; whose theme was Technology for Impactful Sustainable Development.
This was alongside other big events of IEEE Bangladesh Section such as IEEE WIECON-ECE, SPICSCON, 3ECITHCON, PEE-IACON, RAAICON, SympSIST and many other events, namely IEEE Bangladesh Section smart city initiatives. This event was organized as an elevation program for the senior contributing members of the section without whom these could not have been achieved.
The Chief Guest to the event was Mr. Abdus Sabur, President, IEB and Mr. Khandker Manjur Morshed, Honorary General Secretary, IEB was invited as a Special Guest. Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Professor, Dept. of EEE, BUET and Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section chaired the program. Among the other speakers and guests were Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah, Professor, Dept. of EEE, BUET and Mr. Ranak Ahsan, Secretary, Computer Engineering Division, IEB. Approximately 100 people were present in the event.
