


The International Industrial Activities Conference 2024, Jointly Organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section and IEEE Industry Applications Society Bangladesh Chapter, Co-organized by IEEE RUET Student Branch and hosted by Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Rajshahi, Bangladesh, from 12-13 September 2024. The conference aimed to bring together professionals, students, and industry leaders to explore and discuss various aspects of industrial activities.
INDCON 2024 is an integral part of the larger conference happening at RUET, International Conference on Power, Electrical, Electronics and Industrial Applications (PEEIACON 2024), which gathers innovative minds to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and ideas. The competition encourages students to engage in activities that promote innovation, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship.
History and Purpose:
This session focuses on showcasing innovative projects that have the potential to solve real-world problems. Students and researchers are encouraged to present their projects, which are evaluated based on their novelty, impact, and scalability.
Event Structure:
– Participants were required to demonstrate their innovative projects to a panel of judges and the audience.
– The competition allowed participants to explain their projects’ technical aspects, applications, and market potential.
Moderator: Md. Nuhi-Alamin, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, RUET.
Judges:
1. Dr. Md. Emdadul Hoque: Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, RUET.
– Contribution: He focused on the practical applications of the projects, particularly their industrial relevance and scalability.
2. Prof. Dr. Azad Hossain: Professor, Department of Electrical & Telecommunication Engineering, CUET.
– Contribution: With expertise in telecommunications, Prof. Hossain evaluated the technical soundness of the projects.
3. Prof. Dr. Shahriar Khan: Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, IUB.
4. Prof. Dr. Naruttam Kumar Roy: Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, KUET.
Outcome:
The Innovative Project Showcasing session concluded with lively discussions, and the top projects were awarded recognition for their potential to impact society positively.
