CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH

On 3rd August 2019, “IEEE Bangladesh Section Vitality Enhancement Event” was organized by IEEE ISTT SB. This event was funded by IEEE BDS. This event took place at ISTT, Mirpur 14 in the morning from 10 am up to 12 pm. Almost 35 students including IEEE members and non-members were attended in the event.
In the first session, the event was conducted by Mohammad Mahinur Rahman, Operation and Project Lead, CODE19, The session was on researching and funding Opportunities from IEEE IAS Bangladesh Chapter. Introducing to the IEEE BDS, he started his valuable discussion on IAS and the importance as well as the processing of joining the Industrial Application Society (IAS). He inspired us by letting us know the opportunities of IAS and what benefits we will get from it. He also gave us inspirational activities on joining us in IAS and the profits which we will get in our professional as well as student life.
In the second session, this seminar was conducted by Shajib Ghosh, Secretary, IEEE SPS BD Chapter. “Smart City” was the theme of his session. Defining what smart city is, he showed us slides on the sectors where a smart city can be implemented. The ideas that were given by many students of different universities, he described to us the particular sectors where the smart city can be implemented. The present lack of Bangladesh in traffic and street management and how we can use those smart technologies and make our life better, he explained to us with much proficiency. At the end of the session, he asked for questions and many of the students questioned him on the smart city and he gave the solutions. The implementation of modern devices was noticeable.
In the third session, this seminar was conducted by Abul Al Arabi, Award Coordinator of IEEE BDS. He started briefing us with the awards received by the Bangladesh section due to its potentiality and active performances. The scopes we have as a student to explore ourselves in Bangladesh as well as in the whole world, inspired us to build the courage to take the initiative of informative ideas. He shared his experiences of participating and achieving success in different competitions and gave us the way by which we can access those fields as well. In the end, there was a Question session. Students had many questions on different issues and he replied to all of those.
In the last phase, this session was conducted by Khaled Bin Moinuddin, Embedded System Designer, Techshop Bd. He inspired us about Robotics and motivated us to explore our innovative ideas and to implement those in our life. He has shown the way by which we can utilize our student life by doing study and research at the same time. He advised us to balance every step to achieve success.
Each session ended by honoring our instructors with tokens of appreciation presented by our honorable Head of ECE Department and Respected lecturers of ISTT.
The participants were given snacks for refreshment and the event got satisfactions to form every participant. We cannot explain our gratitude enough at IEEE Bangladesh Section, the speakers, all the participants, volunteers who helped us to make this event successful. Every participant was dedicated and interested in this event. We hope to arrange more events with IEEE Bangladesh Section in the near future
