Grameenphone Ltd. In collaboration with IEEE Bangladesh Section organized an awareness and engagement session on IEEE Bangladesh Section Membership Development & Activities on 16 April 2018 at the GPHOUSE Moydan, Dhaka to commence the IEEE Membership Drive Week in Grameenphone.
Md Zakaria Haider, Secretary, IEEE Bangladesh Section, Azfar Adib, Industrial Activities Co-ordinator, IEEE Bangladesh Section, Irtiza Haque, Industrial Activities Co-ordinator, IEEE Women in Engineering Bangladesh Section and Reduan Hasan Khan, Senior Member, IEEE were present as the honorable speakers of the event. The session started at 10 AM. Around 25 participants including both IEEE members and non-members were present.
The host of the event, Azfar Adib, Industrial Activities Co-ordinator, IEEE Bangladesh Section started the seminar by giving a brief introductory speech on IEEE and its different aspects.
In the second session, Md Zakaria Haider, Secretary, IEEE Bangladesh Section, explained the structure of IEEE and shared IEEE Bangladesh Section’s activities. He also shared some valuable thoughts on industry and academia collaboration.
Then, in her session, Irtiza Haque, Industrial Activities Co-ordinator, IEEE Women in Engineering Bangladesh Section, talked the involvement of women in IEEE and their valuable contributions in developing IEEE.
Later, Reduan Hasan Khan, Senior Member, IEEE discussed the benefits of industry people in IEEE and how they can develop themselves further by involving in different activities of IEEE.
Mahmud Hossain, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Grameenphone, former Membership Development Chair of IEEE BDS Ex-Com greeted the participants through a video message. At the end of the session, a group photo was taken.
