IEEE Smart City: Bangladesh perspective
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IEEE Bangladesh Section for the year 2017 was held on Saturday, January 06, 2018 at 6:00 PM in Room # 625, of the ECE Building, Department of EEE, BUET. Prof. Dr. Quazi D.M. Khosru, Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section (2017) led this meeting.
As per a previously declared agenda, the following matters were presented/discussed in the meeting and resolutions were taken unanimously:
- Secretary of the Executive Committee (2017), Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain presented the Annual Reports of the year 2017 to the members attending the meeting and the general body approved it.
- Treasurer, Executive Committee (2017), Mr. Yeasir Arafat presented the Financial Report of 2017 to the members attending the general meeting and the general body approved it.
- Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan, founder chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section was the Election Commissioner for the election of IEEE Bangladesh Section Executive Committee 2018. Nominations and Appointments Chair, Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah helped to conduct the election and Election Commissioner Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan declared the New Executive Committee for the year 2018.
The new Executive Committee of IEEE Bangladesh Section for the year 2018 is as follows:
1. Chair: Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Professor, BUET
2. Vice Chair (Activity): Mr. Yeasir Arafat, Associate Professor, BUET
3. Secretary: Mohammad Zakaria Haider, Grameenphone Ltd.
4. Treasurer: MD Romael Haque, Prime Silicon Technologies – BD Ltd.
5.Nominations and Appointments Chair : Dr. Shaikh A. Fattah, Professor, BUET
6.Past Chair: Prof. Dr. Quazi Deen Mohd. Khosru,Professor, BUET
7. Awards Coordinator: Dr. Mohammed Imamul Hassan Bhuiyan,Professor, BUET
8. Conference Coordinator: Dr. Mohammed Moshiul Hoque,Professor, CUET
9. Industrial Activity Coordinator: Azfar Adib , Grameenphone Ltd.
