CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This year a group of experienced and enthusiastic young members from IEEE Bangladesh Section attended the IEEE R10 Student/Young Professional/Women in Engineering (SYW) Congress held in Srilanka during 9-12 July 2015. Some students and young professionals were offered a travel grant from IEEE Bangladesh Section based on their contribution to Section as well as respective branches. IEEE R10 also declared winner of some grants after some competitions. Some members in in different categories, such as student, WIE, SIGHT Group have won the grants. In the congress, participants will attend several effective and important technical, administrative, professional and leadership sessions. Apart from that they have to arrange a Cultural booth representing Bangladesh and participated gift sharing events. They may also attend social programs and sports. Some student branches, WIE AG and SIGHT groups need to present their activities. Prior to attending the congress, an Idea Sharing event was organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section where 13 delegates were present. IEEE Bangladesh Section Chair, Secretary, SAC Chair, WIE AG Chair were present in the meeting. Student branch chairs and some key representatives who will be joining the Congress were also present. Various issues regarding the congress were finalized. Iftar was served in the meeting.
