IEEE Bangladesh Section along with IEEE Bangaldesh Section Educational Activities Committee organized an event on Fire Safety Awareness on 19 December 2019 at Chalaband Government Primary School.
Dr. M Tanseer Ali, Educational Activities Coordinator of IEEE Bangladesh Section was head instructor for the session. Md. Ahsan Nahiyan, Fellow of Teach of Bangladesh and the Membership Coordinator of IEEE SSIT Bangladesh Chapter and Ms Shaila Sharmin Mitu, Fellow of Teach for Bangladesh also acted as the instructors to this session. Mr. SK Adif Farhan Member of IEEE BDS Educational Activities Committee helped to conduct the Fire Safety session.
As the participants were primary level students, mostly from grade 4 and grade 5, the materials were prepared as such, mainly consisting of pictures and cartoons. In the session, Dr. M Tanseer Ali taught the children the preventive measure for fire safety as well as what to do incase of a fire.
After that informative session, different tasks were given among the students to complete. The best three groups were selected and were given special gifts.
Head Teacher of the Chalaband Government Primary School, Md. Sarowar Jahan was present during the session.
Total number children and their teachers attended the session were 50. After the session, color books and color pencils were given to them as gifts.
