CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
IEEE Bangladesh Section & Institute of Robotics and Automation, BUET -IRAB is jointly organized a technical seminar on Computer Vision Based Automation for Climate Protection, Medical Diagnosis and Defence in hybrid mode. The virtual mode is organized on the Zoom platform and the physical at Room 1031, 10th floor, ECE Building, Institute of Robotics and Automation, BUET (IRAB), Dhaka, Bangladesh on 2nd October, 2023.
In the seminar, the keynote talk was presented by Dr Syed Mohammed Shamsul Islam, Senior Lecturer and Founding Lead, 3DSVA Lab Discipline of Computing and Security, School of Science, Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. Dr Syed Mohammed Shamsul Islam discussed recently developed AI tools and techniques and how they can be used for automation in different applications in defense, environmental and medical domains. He also discussed about higher education opportunities in Australia.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah, Director, IRAB and Professor, Dept. of EEE, BUET. IEEE Bangladesh Section Publicity Coordinator and IEEE SPS Bangladesh Chapter Secretary Engr Shohel Rana; IEEE SPS Bangladesh Chapter Treasurer Dr. Mohammod Abdul Motin, Professor, Dept. of EEE, RUET along with various university professors, students and industry experts were also joined the seminar. Around 55 participants attended the seminar.
Technical co-sponsors of the seminar were IEEE Bangladesh Section’s three society chapters, namely IEEE SPS Bangladesh Chapter, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society-Bangladesh Chapter and IEEE EMBS Bangladesh Chapter.
