IEEE Bangladesh Section Appreciation and Award Ceremony 2024
The IEEE Signal Processing Society Bangladesh Chapter Congress 2024 was successfully held on 1st November 2024 at the URP Lecture Theatre, Khulna University, Khulna. The event was jointly organized by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Bangladesh Chapter and the IEEE Bangladesh Section, bringing together distinguished scholars, professionals, and researchers from the field of signal processing.
Inaugural Session:
The congress was inaugurated by Prof. K.V.S. Hari, Director of the Centre for Brain Research and Professor at the Department of ECE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His inaugural address emphasized the importance of signal processing in modern technological advancements and its applications in interdisciplinary research areas, including neuroscience and artificial intelligence.
Keynote Speakers:
The event featured two eminent keynote speakers:
- Prof. K.V.S. Hari
- Affiliation: Director, Centre for Brain Research & Professor, Department of ECE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
- Topic: Improving the performance of a MIMO-OFDM Dual Function Radar Communication (DFRC) system for Intelligent Sensing and Communication Applications
- Mohammed A. Mostajo-Radji
- Affiliation: University of California Santa Cruz, USA
- Topic: Cloud-connected brain organoids for project based education
