CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
IEEE SPS DAY Meet & Greet of IEEE SPS Researchers,
On 2nd June, 2023, The IEEE Bangladesh Section and IEEE SPS Bangladesh Chapter jointly organized to celebrate the first IEEE SPS Day. 2023 marks 75 years of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) and Friday, 2 June 2023 is announced as the inaugural SPS Day. The first IEEE SPS Day 2023 is a historic inaugural moment for the IEEE SPS Bangladesh Chapter.
On 2nd June 1948, the first professional group of the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) was formed. In time, the professional group evolved into the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS). SPS is IEEE’s first society and since its establishment in 1948, it is driven by passionate, dedicated leaders that make it the technical home to nearly 20,000 members today.
The speakers for the inaugural SPS Day at SPS Bangladesh Chapter were Dr. Shaikh Fattah, Chair, IEEE SPS Bangladesh Chapter and Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Vice-Chair, IEEE SPS Bangladesh Chapter. These honorable speakers shared their experiences and knowledge at the event, which was informative and engaging for all participants.
Our IEEE SPS BDC ExCom members Dr. Mohammod Abdul Motin and Shohel Rana shared their research knowledge.
