IEEE Bangladesh Section along with IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Bangladesh Chapter and IEEE Industry Applications Society Bangladesh Chapter organized the IEEE Bangladesh Section Vitality Enhancement Event, hosted by IEEE AUST Student Branch, IEEE AUST Student Branch WIE Affinity Group, IEEE PES AUST Student Branch Chapter and IEEE SPS and ComSoc AUST Student Branch Joint Chapter in Room 4A04 of the Department of EEE, AUST at 3:30 PM.
The event was in a coalition of four different sessions carried out by the representatives of IEEE BDS, IEEE RAS, and IAS BD Chapters and The Smart City Campaign of IEEE BDS. Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Ehtesanul Islam, Head, Department of EEE, AUST, Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Baki, Counselor, IEEE AUST Student Branch was present in the event along with 20 students, all of whom were IEEE Members. Mohammad Muntasir Hassan, Lecturer, Department of EEE, University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh and Graduate Student, Department of EEE, BUET carried out the first session of the day where he focused on the introduction of IEEE Industry Applications Society and its Bangladesh Chapter’s activities, research and funding opportunities. Junaed-Al-Hossain, Lecturer, Department of EEE, Daffodil International University, Bangladesh and Graduate Student, Department of EEE, BUET took the stage to show the audience the progress of IEEE Bangladesh Section’s newly launched initiative ‘Campaign for Smart City’. His session provided a clear idea of the campaign and its prospects of works in different components of the Smart City concept. Following him, Shafkat Mahmud Khan, Graduate Student, Department of EEE, BUET, came up with his presentations showing the working aspects of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Bangladesh Chapter. For the closing session of the day, Raihan Ur Rashid, Secretary, IEEE Bangladesh Section, and Graduate Student, University of Dhaka walked up to the podium to talk about Membership Engagement, Recruitment, and Retention of IEEE. We express Special Thanks to Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section for taking the initiative and holding the Vitality Enhancement Event at AUST.
