CELEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH

Details: IEEE Bangladesh Section and BUET Robotics Society organized ”Robo Carnival 2019” at the premises of BUET on 18th January 2019. The event consisted five segments for this year’s event to help robotics enthusiasts test out their skills in different fields of robotics’ competition. The segments were:
- PATHFINDER: A line-follower robot race for novice enthusiasts of robotics.
- INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION CHALLENGE: Using robotic vision to autonomously control a mechanical arm to sort objects based on color and/or shape.
- PROJECT SHOWCASING: A platform to display awesome projects with beneficial and revolutionary functions.
- COGNITION: Idea Competition: Innovative ideas to solve particular problems to help mankind is the vision of this segment’.
- SOCCER BOT CHALLENGE: Manually controlled robots fight out in football matches, only in the miniature of forms for everyone to enjoy to the fullest.
The event started with the segment pathfinder at 10:30 am and continued till the prize giving ceremony. There were many distinguished guests present at the carnival and enthusiastic teams from all over the country participated here. The chief guest for Robo Carnival 2019 was the Honorable State Minister, ICT Division, Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak M.P. He was present for the Grand Prize Giving Ceremony of the event. There were prizes of worth 300+ BDT in total.
